On 26 October 2024 within the OTS International Observation Mission in the Election to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Delegation of the Mission of the OTS led by Mr. Merey Mukazhan, Deputy Secretary General of the OTS met with Mr. Zayniddin Nizamkhodjaev, Chairman of the Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Deputy Secretary General gave a brief on the OTS International Mission carried out in Uzbekistan as well as the composition of the OTS Mission.
Chairman of the Election Commission gave detailed information on the legal background and the preparations for the election process, as well as on the activities of the other International Observation Missions which are attending the elections in Uzbekistan.
