On the occasion of the 16th Meeting of the Council of Elders (CoE), the members of the CoE and the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) visited the Hungarian National Assembly on 28 November 2024.
Deputy Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly, H.E. Sándor Lezsák, welcomed the OTS delegation and Parties held a fruitful discussion on the current state and future prospects of cooperation among the OTS countries. The Parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ties and fostering collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
The discussions underscored the shared vision and dedication to deepening the partnership, further solidifying Hungary's role as an important partner of the OTS.
Deputy Speaker Sándor Lezsák emphasized the pivotal role of the CoE in fostering robust and multifaceted relations among OTS Member States and Observers. He highlighted Hungary’s active participation in the OTS and its significant contributions to priority areas such as economy, trade, investment, agriculture, tourism and culture.
The meeting underscored the deepening relationship between Member States and Observers, reaffirming Hungary’s role in promoting regional cooperation.
